16th Annual Experience Lake Charlevoix Event

Local 6th and 7th grade students participated in a hands-on learning experience May 19 and 20 aboard the Beaver Islander ferry in Lake Charlevoix.

For the past 16 years, Lake Charlevoix Association and the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council have partnered with the Beaver Island Boat Company to provide this quality experience. Feedback from the students and teachers is always positive, reinforcing the value of this hands-on lake learning. Your membership dues help sponsor this educational event. This year we recruited some new adult volunteers to teach several of the stations. We’d like to thank those who volunteered to make this year’s event possible, listed below. A very special thanks goes to Valerie Olinik-Damstra from TOMWC, who served as co-coordinator with Sue Costa for the event - Well done, Val!
