2008 Annual Meeting

This year's annual meeting for the Lake Charlevoix Association will be held on August 15th at 10 AM at the Depot in Charlevoix.

We have a wonderful featured speaker this year! Local historian Dave Miles will present a talk on the history of Lake Charlevoix. Did you know that the lake was approximately four feet higher than Lake Michigan until they dredged out the Pine Lake Channel and brought our lake down to match the big lake? That along with many other issues of interest to those of us that appreciate will be discussed.

Of course, we will also hold our annual business meeting. During the meeting we will:

• Hold annual elections
• Vote on proposed by-law changes
• Present a treasurer's report
• Present an update on input received from our focus group meetings
• Present a plan of action for the next year
